2 YEARS TODAY
WordPress changed the control panel many times last year, I found it increasingly hard to navigate every time I posted. Some of the upgrades are great though – it was a great surprise to find this message this morning.

Thanks for flying with us. Keep up the good blogging!
I started AWF on the 4th Jan 2013 but some update in the posting procedure meant it is logged as LIVE from the 5th.
What I really wanted to post is a BIG THANK YOU
to YOU!
I appreciate all followers of my blog!
I can’t wait to share another year of my writing life with you – I can only hope it is as exciting as this morning was.
I got an early call for work, accepted the job (having already started to take Christmas decs down), no time to tidy up the settee and nest of tables filling the room, had to get ready. By some miracle I was showered, breakfasted, work ready in half an hour. Then I said a hurried goodbye to Mr G who is off for his 2nd week of working away. Jumped in my car… it wouldn’t start! Flat battery.
No-one around at that time in the morning, most workers had already left, the white van man working on a property a few doors down had no jump leads and wasn’t able to diagnose man world stuff to me.
Eventually I called work and cancelled there was no way I could get across Birmingham and if I got a bus I wouldn’t have a car for the next day, I have booked work and a gig tomorrow.
I wanted to make sure the car was okay. So I called on a neighbour who came out to help me with jump leads. It started straight away, I had called the garage ahead in hope that they could help, it is a fair distance away, so fortunately my neighbour followed me in, just in case. We got there and the car started a 2nd time. I am hoping whatever it is won’t cost too much. It is probably just the damp. However, as I need it for work this week, I don’t want it to conk out on me again!
An eventful morning. At least lunch is already sorted and I get to take the rest of the decs down as well as catching up with writing and sorting my 1st set of the year!
