Now in our 6th year, this annual Writing Retreat offers you time and space to get motivated and get writing. We have our Guest Writers lined up, there will be interviews and workshops with them as well as features on their work. The full programme will incorporate writing activities and motivation to keep your pen moving.
As with previous years the INKSPILL Archive will be open and so too will our virtual Book Shop.
The story behind INKSPILL 2013
The initial idea came when I found out about Iyanla_Vanzant’s Wonder Woman Weekend.
I couldn’t afford to go, although it would have been a great event to attend, I decided I could facilitate my own special weekend in place of this.
And Inkspill was born. A FREE, Non-Profit venture.

For the 3rd year running AWF is hosting INKSPILL, a free online writing retreat. Come and join us and our Guest Writers for a weekend of writing and motivation.
There is NO SIGN UP, NO FEE.

AWF offers this retreat to you for FREE, in return all we ask is you LIKE, reblog or share our blog posts.
Open to all writers of any genre – you will have time to work on your own writing projects too.

What is it?
A FREE writing retreat based on a programme of writing.
What do I have to do?
There is NO sign up or PAYMENT to be made, you can come along and dip into the events we have planned over the weekend or commit yourself to some ‘time out’ for your writing self and tag into every event on the programme.
The idea behind Inkspill is to motivate ourselves, to get writing! It would be a great warm up for NaNoWriMo in November.
What qualifies me?
More than two decades of experience.
I have trained on writing courses, written for performance, worked as a freelance writer and performance poet, I was a published poet before I did any of the above.
In later years I facilitated writing workshops with children and adults and founded a website for writers which became a community as well as a place for quality critiquing and a platform for new work.
I trained as a life coach (motivation? You’re in good hands!) and worked for 15 years as a teacher. In 2013 I enrolled on courses and workshops which were an opportunity to be guided by the likes of Clare Belle, Alan Harris, and Keith Lindsay.
I am inspired by the re-launch of my freelance writing career and felt I wanted to pay a gift forward to those of you following my blog! (Call it an early Christmas Present!)

Description and Basic Instructions for Participating:
Inkspill is a Virtual Writing Retreat delivered from my blog awritersfountain in the final weekend of October.
A great warm up event for NaNoWriMo writers.
The programme is varied and runs from October 25th to the 27th. If you’re on GMT you can follow in real time if not dip in and out.
The best result will come from giving yourself the whole weekend to write, that’s what a retreat is for, gift yourself.
There is no charge this year.
To take part you can either FOLLOW the blog – each new event will be on your reader throughout the weekend.
Or just turn up on the 25th and join in the creativity.
Open to all writers of any genre – you will have time to work on your own writing projects too.
