Kevin Brooke writes fiction for both Adults and Children. He’s previously self-published a book entitled ‘The Roman Citizens from Class 6B’ and aimed at 6-10 year olds and has had a number of short stories published in anthologies including ‘Short Stories from Black Pear’ as well as various anthologies as a member of Worcester Writers’ Circle.
Kevin is the Patron of Reading at Blessed Edward Oldcorne in Worcester. He facilitates readings and workshops in schools.
Kevin writes short stories many of which have been shortlisted in competitions. In 2014 Kevin had a number of successes in national short story competitions including the receipt of two awards of runner up as well as a highly commended.’Running Away’ won the Erewash National Open Short Story Competition in 2014 and ‘Pooh Sticks & Rainbows’ won the Kishboo Spring Competition in 2016.
He recently graduated from the University of Worcester with a First Class BA (Hons) in Creative Writing & English Literature.
Kevin is a regular on the Worcester spoken word scene.
