This is the 3rd year AWF has offered an online writing retreat and we are delighted to see you here.
Sharing their insights and writing wisdom with us this year are;
David Calcutt – Playwright, novelist, poet
Alison May – Novelist
Daniel Sluman – Poet
Look out for an introductory post about our Guests later on this morning.
May I take this opportunity to thank our Guest Writers for their time and commitment.
Whether you are taking part in real-time or after the event, we appreciate ‘likes’, you can like and post as a guest if you have no WordPress account or sign up, there is a world of great blogs to explore on the platform.
Ideally we aim to create the sense of community, it is valuable to see other people here for INKSPILL. We encourage you to leave comments, feedback and links on the feed.
Guest writers cannot access the statistics for traffic they can see comments and feedback. They have worked hard to provide part of the programme for us this year and have given their time free of charge. I am sure they will appreciate thoughts and comments on posts too.
We like to see how useful or fulfilling your experience of it is.
INKSPILL is interactive, we welcome and encourage you to show us the resulting writing either by copying it into comment boxes or by posting on your own blog and linking back to AWF INKSPILL (feel free to save this button and link the URL).
The conversation generated around our writing is what makes INKSPILL work well and without active participation on screen, it feels rather like you’re sitting by reception, having turned up a weekend too late!
If you are planning to submit your writing for publication you can post it in the CLOSED Facebook group here
this way it cannot be considered ‘previously published’ and only members of the group can see it. Let us know where it is by posting a link in the comment box.
If you are as crazy as I was (back in 2013) you may even wish to use this weekend as a Springboard into NaNoWriMo… nearly November already!
Thanks for coming, we hope you enjoy it!
Created in 2013 and run annually, INKSPILL has been a free and non-profit making venture created & facilitated by Nina Lewis. Guest Writers have been used since 2014.
