I just popped on to start today’s posts (mainly NaNoWriMo) and look what I found….
Followers
500
Absolutely delighted – especially as I posted about this and last night – came home in hope of 2 new followers and found that a follower had unfollowed 😦 so we needed 3 more!
And today 🙂 they have come.
Thanks a billion to all you followers – I hope you enjoy reading the blog as much as I love writing it!
Congrats on the 500! And, for undertaking the month of the novel.
Thanks, I am over the moon with 500 🙂 when I started blogging gaining followers was something I actively sought to do (in the back of every bloggers mind is an ambition to attract traffic and be known) I was very excited by the stats and nothing much has changed about that. I read plenty of articles over the summer about not getting hung up over the stats and one blogger even posted a screen shot of the her 1st year site stats – which we surpassed in late Spring – that made me feel good as she has a 4 year old blog with about 6000 followers.
But the real buzz comes when people interact and respond to the content.
As for NaNoWriMo – I found out about it when I started blogging in the New Year and was gutted when I found I had to wait until NOVEMBER! Then I found the Camp NaNoWriMo, loved the April one – managed 53K – struggled with the Summer one – managed 20K and now I am ready for this… last night I actually met some of my characters. (In as far as I sat down and did some plot and character planning.) Yes! I even follow my own tips sometimes! 😉
