Today was marathon day over at Camp NaNoWriMo. The idea: to write as many words as possible & write for a longer period of time. Just like a real marathon but typing not running. I had planned to do a 3hour challenge of my own.
In Camp NaNoWriMo you can join in with regional camps, which is great for International Writers. Last night I joined my Region on Facebook with the aim of joining in with a real life / real time marathon event. I found out where they were meeting. I wasn’t sure I would wake up with enough energy, it would mean driving over a half marathon into the city and then meeting up for a few hours. Just like all London Marathons, I basically woke up too late to join in fully. I actually managed some words, then I fell asleep. (Glad I wasn’t asleep face down on my laptop in a city café!)
Next week I plan to work on my manuscript for morning and evening sessions for a few days and try to take part in my own mini marathon next weekend.
At least I got to Camp! Congratulations to everybody who took part in the marathon!
